I started writing this song when my grandmother passed away, and continued it when I lost my best friend, finishing it this summer, thinking of everyone I’ve ever loved that has gone. This year has come with a lot of loss, and whatever it is you may believe (or not believe) in, the loss of people we love tears at our hearts with no mercy.
